Abstract

The teaching profession is not immune to the streams of societal change we are experiencing; accelerated technological developments, new relationships to knowledge, agile solutions for online learning, growing diversity of learners, revised learning outcomes, etc. As a lifelong learner, today’s teacher is called to “do better what he/she does well.” It is important that the professional development of the teacher, who continues to question and innovate his practice, is recognized. In this perspective, the online training courses of CADRE21, with its system of digital badges, support and recognize the continuing education of teachers from all levels, primary to postsecondary. CADRE21 is an official partner of the Quebec Ministry of Education and Higher Education’s Plan d’action numérique.
