Abstract

This article shows the results of a qualitative study in which six students were asked about the facilitating and limiting factors of the use of digital technologies within an introduction to a social work course. Results indicate that online courses provide greater flexibility and autonomy in terms of time management. In this respect, it is essential that the pedagogical tools used be organized effectively and that the students be provided with ongoing support. The most important challenge is related to the implementation of mechanisms that promote teacher-student interaction in order to make students the main participants in their learning.
